Wojciech Siudmak - Secret Armada
Description
"His timeless and profoundly individual art, far from theorising and fashion, captivates with renaissance perfection and virtuosity and outstanding imagination, fascinating in its intellectual richness." - Siudmak Fantastic Worlds, Dom Wydawniczy Rebis, 2021
The Armada of the title, a concentration of power and technological excellence, quietly sails into port. Its ship, with its gleaming hull, even melts into the darkness of the cosmic night hiding its intentions. We are on an alien planet. The surface of the water is only gently stirred. A calm mood prevails all around, although a cool wind carries a hint of uncertainty. The personalised ship moves confidently through unknown territory.
The bay where the eponymous Armada has just called in is shrouded in mystery. Its shores are surrounded by rocks; it is difficult to see what lies behind them. Will this bring peace between different civilisations, or the ultimate conflict in space? Is this the beginning of a new era of cooperation and understanding, or is it the beginning of a catastrophe? Time will tell, we will soon know the answers.
The artist has never felt the need to belong to a formation. He is fond of quoting the words of the French philosopher Gustave Thibon: "To be on the wave, to be trendy, is the ambition of a falling dead leaf".
Inkography "Secret Armada" by Wojciech Siudmak was created in a closed limited edition of 100 copies.
