Description

"Genesis" is an insight into the very essence of mystery. The visual attempt to describe it, leaves the artist in silence, as does the attempt to understand the cosmic order.

The figure of the Creator is unique in its simplicity. Its essence conceals all omnipresent reality, and therefore it needs no eyes; it is itself a vision. The sky is not only a physical place, but also a symbol of the universe, which encompasses all that is unlimited.

"Genesis" suggests the spiritual aspect of existence and our attempts to understand a higher reality. It is an encouragement to take a spiritual journey into the depths of existence.

"He considers himself an heir to fantasy art, traces of which can be found in the wall paintings in the caves of Lascaux, through the visions of Hieronymus Bosch and Surrealism. He is inspired by the universe and the work of physicists and astrophysicists. He considers them the avant-garde of our time, not only scientifically but in a certain sense artistically, as they offer us a new view of the universe, providing new aesthetic emotions." - Siudmak Fantastic Worlds, Dom Wydawniczy Rebis, 2021

Inkography "Genesis" by Wojciech Siudmak was created in a closed limited edition of 100 copies.

Wojciech Siudmak - painter and sculptor, was born in 1942 in Wieluń, Poland. Between 1956 and 1961, he continued his education in Warsaw, at the High School of Fine Arts and then studied at the Academy of Fine Arts. In September 1966, he left for Paris and began his studies at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts. He lives and works in France. Wojciech Siudmak is a leading representative of fantasy realism and science fiction. Fantastic realism combines surreal vision with naturalistic art and has its roots in surrealism, as represented by S. Dali and R. Magritte. What Siudmak shares with Dalí is a virtuosity in rendering the three-dimensional illusion of space, a sense of light and shadow, linear and aerial perspectives. Siudmak's timeless art, captivates with its Renaissance perfection and virtuosity and imagination beyond the norm, fascinating with its intellectual richness. Many famous personalities have expressed their admiration for the artist's work: Federico Fellini, Jean-Jacques Annaud, George Lucas, Paul Guth, John Harrison, Jacques Goimard, Jean Claude Dunyach, Francis Lai, Guy Beart, Kim Stanley Robinson and Denis Villeneuve director of the Oscar-winning film "Diuna".
