Description

Guinea fowl (2021)

Numida meleagris, or guinea fowl. Against a monochrome background of spotted gray feathers, its beautiful blue-red head stands out. Adelaide Kot depicts this extraordinary bird in heraldic tone. From the branches of the tree hang baroque medallions, mementos of bird ancestry. Following the pattern of fairy tales, the animals create here a culture analogous to human one. A sweet yellow background spotted with amaranth will enliven the interiors in a subtle but sophisticated way.

Adelaide Kot's original inkographs are available in a closed edition of 50 copies. Each print has its own unique edition number and the artist's handwritten signature.
