Szymon Brodziak - Stairs
Description
The photograph "Stairs" by Szymon Brodziak is a black and white print from the artist's original negative.
Stairs is a photograph that was made on a medium-format film in the cold interiors of the old Palace in Jankowice and comes from the series Noti Girls . The series won two Gold Medals at the Prix de la Photographie Paris in 2010.
After the site visit, the artist, fascinated by the winding staircase, prepared a storyboard, and during the session faithfully reflected the drawn scene. The frame shows two men carrying a sofa up the steep stairs. From the upper floor, the situation is observed by a woman whose image we are unable to see. Undoubtedly, it was no accident, because in Brodziak's world there is no room for mistakes. With this gesture, the artist leaves the audience open for interpretation. It tells a story without telling it on purpose.
A black-and-white photo by Szymon Brodziak is available as a limited author's photograph in pigment printing technology, on excellent quality Fine Art photographic paper. The photograph was made in a closed edition limited to 199 copies. The photo is numbered and signed by the author. The work comes with a certificate of authenticity.
