Szymon Brodziak - Ballerina #07
Description
The photograph "Ballerina #07" by Szymon Brodziak is a black and white print from the artist's original negative.
Ballerina #07 is a photograph showing the performance of dancers illuminated by a spotlight. The plan is built by rows of stairs that give the perspective a linear rhythm. In Szymon Brodziak's work, classic black and white as well as chiaroscuro have always been of great importance, which in the case of this work gives the scene multidimensionality. In the background, we observe the multiplication of the heroines, and this effect was created thanks to the theatrical lighting.
The combination of sublime beauty with the monumental nature of the building is Brodziak's main idea when creating the Ballerinas series, which was created for the ceremonial opening of Galeria Posnania. The session from the Ballerinas series was awarded the Bronze Medal at the international Prix de la Photographie Paris competition, additionally, as part of this edition, the artist himself was honored with the title of the Best Advertising Photographer of the Year.
A black-and-white photo by Szymon Brodziak is available as a limited author's photograph in pigment printing technology, on excellent quality Fine Art photographic paper. The photograph was made in a closed edition limited to 199 copies. The photo is numbered and signed by the author. The work comes with a certificate of authenticity.
