Simon Brodziak - Mirror #02
Description
The photograph "Mirror #02" by Szymon Brodziak is a black and white print from the artist's original negative.
Mirror photography was created in 2019 using an iPhone. During a trip to Thailand, the artist convinced his wife to jump off the edge of the pool. Brodziak's vision was realized through two consecutive shots ( Mirror #01 and Mirror #02 ), captured in one sequence, without any repetition. The photo was awarded first place in the 2020 International Photography Awards in the category "Special, Smartphone Photography". The illusion is created here by the insanely created shadow of the silhouette. In addition, photography impresses with its dynamics, in which there is harmony and peace at the same time. Undoubtedly, this is an excellent example of capturing the decisive moment, like in Henri Cartier-Bresson.
