Szymon Brodziak - Labyrinth #01
Description
The photograph "Labyrinth #01" by Szymon Brodziak is a black and white print from the artist's original negative.
The Labyrinth cycle is Brodziak's sentimental journey through time and space. The Cretto di Burri monument is a concrete grid of streets reflecting the plan of the old town of Gibellina in Sicily, which was destroyed in the 1968 earthquake. The place has a special meaning for the artist. He visited them for the first time in 2002 with his girlfriend at the time, Ana. He then took a picture, but was not satisfied with the result. In 2018, on the occasion of his 13th wedding anniversary with Ana, he decided to return there to photograph his muse again in this special place for them.
A black-and-white photo by Szymon Brodziak is available as a limited author's photograph in pigment printing technology, on excellent quality Fine Art photographic paper. The photograph was made in a closed edition limited to 199 copies. The photo is numbered and signed by the author. The work comes with a certificate of authenticity.
