The Mermaid series presents a fragment of a trip around Morocco. This photograph was taken on a remote, majestic beach off the coast of the Atlantic Ocean. The artist was inspired by the spectacular architecture of the natural wonder of Legzira and its mighty rock arches formed by the ocean. He decided to integrate the character of Ana into the fairy-tale landscape, creating his own story about the Mermaid. The photos were taken before one of Legzira's arches, due to natural erosion, collapsed and was irretrievably destroyed, which makes this shot even more unique. The work confirms Brodziak's passion for creating an aura in photography reminiscent of spectacular film frames.
