Zdzislaw Beksinski - Untitled (01)
Description
The photograph "Untitled (01)" by Zdzisław Beksiński is a print from the artist's original negative.
Behind the abstract form made of wire, we can see the outline of a female nude. The sharpness of the curved lines clashes with the softness of the model's body. Beksiński often used this technique and used a large depth of field. Wrapped wires intersect in the center of the frame at the neck line. This poetic composition is synonymous with entanglement and imprisonment. It's a poem about a heroine pushed into the shadows...
A contemporary print was created under the substantive and technical supervision of the Historical Museum in Sanok in a unique, limited series of 30 copies. According to the artist's last will and testament, the Historical Museum in Sanok became the sole heir to his works and the copyrights to them. Each print has two seals - one dry with the name of the institution and the other wet, with information about the series number and the signature of the Director of the Historical Museum in Sanok.
