Zdzisław Beksiński - Untitled (07)
Description
The photograph "Untitled (07)" by Zdzisław Beksiński is a print from the artist's original negative.
Among other things, it is the unconventional uses of ordinary props that make Beksinski a master of experimentation. The mirror shown subtly covers parts of the female body and suggests the need for privacy. However, the reflection of the thighs shown in it creates a completely new and surreal figure. With this gesture, the artist points to a reflection for self-discovery and tells something about a woman's relationship with her own body. It is also a story about the different sides of the personality of the portrayed, and the duality between light and darkness serves as a metaphor for the hidden opposites within her.
The contemporary print was created under the substantive and technical supervision of the Historical Museum in Sanok in a unique, limited series of 25 copies. The Historical Museum in Sanok, in accordance with the artist's will, became the sole heir to his works and the copyright to them. Each print has two stamps - one dry stamp with the name of the institution and the other wet stamp, with information about the series number and with the signature of the Director of the Historical Museum in Sanok.
