"The Unobvious Beksiński" A Zdzisław Beksiński collection
Description
The "UNOBVIOUS BEKSIŃSKI" collection includes: "Untitled (11)", "Untitled (12)", and "Untitled (14)" by Zdzisław Beksiński

Zdzisław Beksiński’s art photography consists of prints made from the artist’s original negatives.
Rediscovered after many years, Beksiński’s untitled photographs open up countless interpretations, but regardless of meaning, their craftsmanship is undeniable.
"(...) it was in his portrait work that Beksiński most expressively and convincingly conveyed his inner life — the emotional states he carried within." – Dorota Szomko-Osękowska
While most of Zdzisław Beksiński’s work is known for its dark, surreal aesthetic, there are also pieces that reflect entirely different aspects. His admiration for his partner’s beauty should be read as a gesture of love, tenderness, and intimacy in their relationship. The subject gazes toward a light source from above, which outlines her feminine features — slender shoulders, collarbones, and jawline. The photograph is a brilliant example of Beksiński’s genius, showcasing his openness to formal experimentation and his drive to shape innovative visions.
The contemporary prints were produced under the curatorial and technical supervision of the Historical Museum in Sanok, in a unique limited edition of 25 copies. According to the artist’s will, the Historical Museum in Sanok became the sole heir to his works and all related copyrights. Each print bears two stamps — a dry stamp with the institution’s name, and a wet stamp including the edition number and the signature of the Director of the Historical Museum in Sanok.
