The Zdzisław Beksiński Collection (I)
Description
THE COLLECTION OF ZDZISŁAW BESKIŃSKI (I) INCLUDES: UNTITLED (43), UNTITLED (30), UNTITLED (46).

In the above collection , Beksiński blurred the individual features of each of the characters by using a quivering line. This gesture made the works very ambiguous. In the first, the tangled lines make it impossible to read facial expressions. In the third, the multiplied eye introduces disorientation. The graphic in the center seems to be the most intentional, which can represent birth and symbolize the beginning of a new one. The lack of titles, characteristic of Beksiński's work, also does not facilitate interpretation. The collection is very similar to the style of his drawings, and less to contrasting, graphic designs. In the case of these heliographs, the choice of frames can significantly affect the reception. White will add lightness to the set, black - elegance. From our perspective - both choices will be equally hit!
Zdzisław Beksiński worked in the technique of heliography/heliotype, also known as cliché-verre , in the years 1956-69. The modern print was created under the substantive and technical supervision of the Historical Museum in Sanok in a unique, limited series of 10 copies. These are strictly controlled, numbered works. Each print has two seals - one dry with the name of the institution and the other wet, with information about the series number and the signature of the Director of the Historical Museum in Sanok.
