Jan Dobkowski - Carnival in Rio XXXXVI
Description
Jan Dobkowski's works are known for their subtle eroticism and sensuality.
"I create the mood. It is an element of intimacy, just as intimacy is a mood. Erotica is not only close contacts between people. Fertility is eroticism that concerns the whole world, including animals and vegetation. I do not deal with the cultural and sociological context of eroticism, I see man as a part of nature. In my paintings, I try to mix plant, animal and human elements, to show the richness of the lines of these worlds that form a single whole. I want to show the seething life.”
