Tadeusz Dominik - Landscape (16)
Description
Tadeusz Dominik's style remains one of the most characteristic phenomena in Polish contemporary painting. He is a virtuoso of color – he boldly uses it, knows how to tame it. Landscapes are the dominant part of his work. They are rich in multicolored spots, but also systematized thanks to the preserved rhythms. It can be said that the richness of shapes and colors of nature in each of his works translates into abstract signs. "Landscape 16" is bathed in yellow and orange, but it will not be overwhelming thanks to the consistent color tone.
"I am a man of nature. I have always had close, personal contact with nature. She was and is my driving force. Nature has a greater influence on my painting than all the masters I have admired in the world's greatest museums." - Tadeusz Dominik about his work in an interview with Anna Bernat (PAP) on the occasion of the artist's 60th anniversary in 2011.
