Rafał Olbiński's work can be described as abstract realism or magical realism, whose representatives are also Rene Magritte, Paul Delvaux, Ivan Albright and Zdzisław Beksiński.
Olbiński balances on the border, although he does not complete it. It leaves room for interpretation, usually giving the viewer a rather sophisticated title. It balances on the border of reality and sleep, stimulating our imagination at the same time. The "emotional side of reflection" is kept in cool colors and has a clearly marked horizon line, both of which make the work seem very harmonious.
