Pola Yankee - Listen to the silence
Description
Is silence the absence of sound? Are white and black the absence of color? These are questions that challenge not only artists but also attentive art observers. Pola Yankee doesn’t shy away from philosophical confrontations — on the contrary, her work speaks to a deep, painterly reflection. Listen to the silence is a piece whose very title calls us to tune into the quiet. The more sensitive among us will discover that color is born out of this void.
The inkograph "Listen to the silence" by Pola Yankee was released in a closed limited edition of 20 copies.
Pola Yankee — a Polish painter born in 1987 in Warsaw. Raised in an artistic family, she has been painting since the age of 16. She earned her degree with distinction from the Faculty of Fine Arts at the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń in 2012. She has participated in both national and international exhibitions, including two solo shows (Toruń, Alliance Française 2010; South Bend, Bernacchi Gallery 2009). She has sold several hundred works, which now reside in private collections in Poland and abroad. Using gradient, impasto, and glazing techniques, she creates multidimensional abstractions — often bordering on landscapes. She is most fascinated by the emotional power of color on the viewer.
