Description
A huge publication illustrating the exhibition at Zachęta and the Bunkier Sztuki Gallery in Krakow. The installation consisted of a twenty-one meter high wall covered with eighteen thousand microphotographs arranged in several dozen rectangles. Each of the photographs was a frame that had been broadcast on Polish television since the 1970s. Then Zofia Kulik started to keep and collect this documentation of the iconosphere of our everyday life. There are frames synthesizing the 20th century: soldiers, nuclear explosions, discoveries in the field of biology, chemistry and physics, wars, diseases, death, nature, fashion, the body...
The catalog contains 168 boards showing micro-photographs together with comments from the film materials and the dates of broadcasting programs, as well as author's comments.
